Day 2 begins with a hearty breakfast at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, preparing you for a thrilling 2-hour snowmobile safari through the pristine Lapland wilderness. After the guided adventure, the rest of the day is free for you to explore the resort area at your own pace, enjoy optional activities, or simply relax amidst the snow-covered serenity. The day concludes with leisure and rest at the resort.
Day 3 starts with an early morning breakfast followed by checkout from the Igloo room at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort. A scenic 3-hour private transfer takes you to your hotel in Rovaniemi, where you can keep your luggage in the cloakroom until check-in. From there, you’re picked up for a magical visit to Santa Claus Village. Enjoy a 500-meter husky sledge ride, meet Santa himself, and participate in the symbolic crossing of the Arctic Circle. Your entry to Snowman World is included, allowing time for playful snow activities. A warm lunch is provided during the excursion, followed by a rejuvenating 1.5-hour sauna bath session before returning to the hotel for a well-earned rest.
Day 4 begins with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, followed by a full-day excursion to Kemi for the iconic Ice Breaker Cruise experience—an unforgettable Arctic adventure sailing through frozen waters, complete with an opportunity to walk on the ice or take a dip in a survival suit. After the tour, you return to your Rovaniemi hotel for a short rest. In the evening, you’re picked up again for a guided Northern Lights tour by minibus, chasing the Aurora Borealis in the clear Lapland skies.
Day 5 starts with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a day trip to the Ranua Wildlife Park—Finland’s northernmost zoo, home to Arctic animals like polar bears, lynx, owls, and wolves in naturalistic enclosures. After exploring the zoo and enjoying the scenic drive, you return to your hotel in Rovaniemi. Later in the evening, the adventure continues with another Northern Lights tour by minibus, giving you another opportunity to witness the magical Aurora in case you missed it earlier.
Day 6 begins with breakfast at the hotel, followed by check-out. After packing up and saying goodbye to the Arctic landscape, you’ll be transferred to the Rovaniemi airport or train station based on your departure schedule. This marks the conclusion of your 6-day Arctic adventure through Ivalo and Rovaniemi—an experience filled with snowmobile safaris, Northern Lights hunts, Santa Claus Village, Icebreaker cruise, and unique stays in igloos and city hotels.
